I’m a licensed Maine guide and I have over 50 years of hunting and trapping experience. The outdoors is my passion and I am a conservationist at heart. My favorite moments guiding are seeing the smiles and the eyes of my customer light up. I truly believe that the hunting experience is worth so much more than just bagging an animal. My two sons (Travis & Wesley) and my wife (Nikki) have helped make my dream come true and we are hoping we can share a piece of that with you. Hard work is in my DNA, my father and grandfather were both hunters and farmers. My passion has also been passed down to my two sons who both have been extremely successful in the outdoors. I hope I can pass it on to you.
John Higgins
John is a licensed Maine guide that we are blessed to have on our team. Growing up in Maine, Jon has been fishing and hunting with his father and grandfather since a very young age. Following behind before he could even hunt.
His passion for pursuing game with dogs led him to getting a pack of beagles and chasing snowshoe Hare for almost half of the year. For him nothing brings on spring like fishing for brookies in the small streams throughout the state. He enjoys the pursuit of large and small game as well as fishing.
Naturally he became a Maine Guide. Being prepared is top priority by scouting and planning your trip. You will have a great and safe time enjoying the wilds of Maine
Nikki Riedel
I am the cook and chief bottle washer, I love feeding the hunters, hearing the stories and just making everyone feel welcome. Plan on good home cooking, and a great stay while you are here with us. I find it great fun to change folks minds about how good a bear tastes and you will just have to try my bear stew!
I’m also an artist at heart. Wildlife, pets, and horses are where my artistic eye and passion are at.
